Drama Deets

A full stack web application where artists can anonymously review art related people and businesses in order to provide safe and enjoyable experiences for all.

• Created validations so that a user may only write one review/have one like per business to prevent spamming and ruining an overall image of a company.
• Designed a user experience that doesn’t reveal who creates a post in order to provide a safe space for artists to review businesses honestly without having to worry about being black listed from the industry.
• Incorporated an admin account that has the ability to add/edit/delete any business or review to prevent a toxic user experience.

Readium

A full stack app inspired by the popular website Medium, catered towards people who love to read.

• Helped design and devise a database architecture, front end/back end routes as well as crafting a pixel perfect written media application inspired by Medium’s UI with custom styled react components.
• Engineered the user authorization process using JWT and hashing passwords using BCrypt to ensure the user’s data would be safely stored in our database.
• Spearheaded the splash page, simplifying the amount of routes/rerenders by incorporating the use of modals in order to make the user experience more efficient.

Triply

An intuitive algorithm generated road trip simulator and planner.

• Directly responsible for researching and incorporating multiple API’s from Google’s web dev platform to asynchronously respond to multiple fetches that would then be routed into an algorithm that the team created and finally displayed on the map.
• Persisted the redux store by serializing state and storing it via cookies.
• Helped design a smooth UI that dynamically renders useful information onto the Google Map so that the user can see suggestions for where they would like to stop as well as see stops they chose already.
